Curatorial Comment
Inscription on back reads “Mr. and Mrs. Ralph B. Hyde of Riverside hold up souvenirs from their years of missionary service in Vanderhoof, British Columbia, Canada. Mrs. Hyde’s necklace was made by an Indian girl at the Lejac Indian School, 30 miles from Vanderhoof. The moccasins were a gift of [crossed out text: Indian Chief] Sophie Thomas, Chief of the Stony Creek Band of “Carrier” Indians.”
